During the last three months Montenegrin capital Podgorica was visited by a total of 1,736 tourists which is 16 per cent more than in the same period last year, reports Montenegrin daily Republika. The biggest number of tourists came from France, Spain, Germany, Slovenia and Italy.
There were 340 visitors on average per day with most of them staying for two or three days in the city. Majority of tourists visited the capital for the first time and spent time sightseeing, visiting cultural and historical monuments and shopping.
