The Montenegrin Central Bank has prepared the Study of Real Estate Prices which concludes that apartments are rather overvalued, and forecasts that the prices will most probably drop.
Comparing the average prices of one square meter in Podgorica and in capitals of the other countries in the region, the report concludes that prices are higher in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, lower in Macedonia and Albania and on average at the same level as in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Average prices of a square meter of a housing object in Podgorica in May 2008 amounted to EUR 1,738.3 which presents a rise of 2.4 per cent compared to the price of one square meter nine months ago when it amounted to EUR 1,697.56.
