The exploration vessel “Hercules”, owned by the U.S. non-profit foundation RPM Nautical of Florida, arrived in Montenegro last week with a team of scientists specialized in underwater archeological explorations to survey the seabed in Kotor Bay.
The research in Montenegro will last for 21 days and marks the beginning of a long-term cooperative project aimed at mapping the seabed in order to survey and protect Montenegro’s underwater cultural heritage.
The Underwater Dive Training De-Mining Center in Bijela, the Regional institute for Cultural Heritage Protection in Kotor, and the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro are actively involved in this project.
