Montenegrin construction sector is expanding despite global crisis, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Maja Velimirovic Petrovic, says.
"Construction is an indicator of economic development, which comprises for some 10% of Montenegrin GDP. In 2007, investments in construction stood at EUR 1,000 per citizen", she stated for the media.
Construction is a sector worst hit by the crisis, Petrovic Velimirovic said, adding that the government is making efforts in stabilizing the situation through new models and inventive solutions in order to maintain the interest of existing investors.
The passing of the new law on spatial planning and facility construction has significantly contributed to simplifying and shortening the procedure for investors’ entering the Montenegrin market.
