Qatar and Montenegro held a round of official talks yesterday and signed several agreements aimed at strengthening relations in the fields of finance, trade, economy, tourism and sports.
The official talks between Qatar and the Republic of Montenegro led by the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani and his Montenegrin counterpart Milo Djukanovic opened at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
Following the talks, both leaders witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) between the two countries. The MoUs comprise mutual protection of investment, cooperation in the field of commerce, economy, technology, sports and tourism.
The agreements were signed on behalf of Qatar by H E Yousuf Hussein Kamal, the Minister of Economy and Finance, H E Sheikh Fahd bin Jassem bin Mohamed Al Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Minister of Business and Trade H E Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Secretary-General of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and Ahmed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, The Chairman Of Qatar Tourism And Exhibitions Authority.
Minister for Economic Development, Branimir Gvozdenovic signed on behalf of Montenegrin side. The Qatari Prime Minister also hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Montenegrin Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation.
