Moody’s agency will audit the current credit rating of Montenegro in the next few days, the Government of Montenegro announced yesterday.
After the meeting of representatives of Moody’s and Deputy Prime Minister Gordana Djurovic, the Government informed that agency’s rating is one of the key elements for a good positioning of Montenegro in the international economic environment, especially for cooperation with the international financial institutions.
The renowned London-based rating agency will primarily focus on the analysis of the economic situation in the country, budget, fiscal and public debt management policies, as well as on the foreign trade relations, investments and analysis of the banking sector.
Djurovic informed Moody’s analysts on the developments regarding the European integration process in Montenegro, challenges that country will face this year and future strategic goals.
